God Will Provide
As many times as I have heard it, I would have believed that the phrase “God will help those who help themselves” is in the Bible. It is not. Benjamin Franklin actually said that.
If God never said that, why are we working so hard and spending so much time planning our ministry? We are firm believers that God does provide… through you! There is a difference between asking God for help and asking Him to do everything.
While God has it well within his power to hand you a thriving ministry on a silver platter, it is not likely that He will.
I cannot count how many times I have seen churches and ministries sit on their hands and say that if God wants it done, He will do it. Of course they are all drawing a paycheck the entire time they are waiting on God.
